NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2024 WIRELESS HALL OF FAME ARE CLOSED!
The Wireless Hall of Fame Program provides public recognition of outstanding individuals across all segments of the wireless industry. The wireless industry includes all disciplines that have clearly and materially contributed to what have become the wireless entities that serve businesses and consumers today.
80 individuals have been inducted into this prestigious program since its inception in 2000. Current members represent ground-breaking achievements in all areas of technology, business, and public service. Eligibility for the Wireless Hall of Fame is based on an individual’s contributions to the advancement of wireless services, products, and programs.
Induction into the Wireless Hall of Fame is one of the industry’s highest honors, acknowledging the leadership, innovation, and achievement of each honoree. To maintain this focus, a nominee’s credentials should establish the following:
- Candidate has made a significant and demonstrable contribution to the growth and development of one or more components of the wireless industry
- Candidate worked in the wireless industry for a minimum of 10 years. (Candidate does not need to be working in the industry today)
- Candidate exhibits leadership at the highest level both professionally and personally.
- Candidate demonstrates significant involvement with the people, organizations and institutions related to the wireless industry.
- Candidates may also be judged for their involvement with the people and institutions within their own communities or states.
The process to nominate a candidate begins with a nominator who must submit a form and two seconders must provide one-page letters endorsing the nominee’s candidacy. Letters of support should focus on how the nominator and seconders were involved with the candidate and why they feel the candidate’s contributions are significant to the industry.
The Wireless Hall of Fame acknowledges individuals whose contributions in many different areas have fueled the growth of wireless communications. To recognize the breadth of the industry, candidates will be evaluated in the following general categories, although the number of honorees and categories may vary from year to year:
Industry Associate – individuals who have made a significant and demonstrable contribution in the provision of professional, operational, or business services to the wireless industry.
