Zoulaiha is Pursuing a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Telecommunications at Georgia Institute of Technology. She holds undergraduate degrees in electrical engineering and applied mathematics from Western Caroline University.
Goals and Aspirations: My choice to pursue a degree in telecommunications was influenced by a major event in Cameroon. In 2014, Mobile broadband based on LTE was established and catalyzed the emergence of a fast-developing broadband sector, opening doors to previously unimagined avenues of economic development for Cameroonians. Witnessing the transformative power of technology inspired me to pursue an education to bridge the digital divide between Cameroon and the developed world. In 2019, I transferred to Western Carolina University and I recently graduated with two degrees in electrical engineering and applied mathematics. I am excited to be continuing my studies this fall at the Georgia Institute of Technology for a Master’s in electrical and computer engineering with a focus on telecommunications.
After graduate school, I plan to earn professional experience in the industry and acquire skills that will help me create innovative technology.
